I decided to take a few photos laying down in my bed just to play around. This is one of them. I kind of thought it fit for Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge.

But, considering the fact that I showed this to someone and their reaction was, “pod people”, I should probably show another perspective:

Life is NOT a Beach…but relax

Life is not a beach. It is more like dirty pavement. It is hard and sometimes it gets messy but, if you take a moment to stop and look around it can still be almost as beautiful as any beach.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Shadows

I found a great blog today, Cee’s Photography, that has photography tips and a lot of great photos to get inspiration from. I am going to use Cee’s “Tips and Tricks” to jump start my endeavor on 1) actually learning to use my camera and 2) learning to take a good photo that involves a little more than luck on my part!

This is a photo I took of the shadows of the safety railings on the second floor of San Francisco’s Historic Sharon Building in Golden Gate Park. I decided to use it for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Shadows.

If I ever get back to San Francisco I would love to take some more pictures of the shadows of the Golden Gate Bridge. I got just a couple while I was there. Here is one I posted in a previous post, The Shadow:

I am an empty shell with no soul;

A soul that has been taken away

By a devil pretending to be an angel.

I was murdered by deception;

Deceived by the “angel” I trusted with my life

And let her take away.

I know now what is the truth:

That vixen

My angel

The devil in the black dress

Will always remain in my heart

And I will continue to pretend I don’t cry anymore.

Happy Earth Day!

I received this photograph today in an email from my Dad who is in Germany and I thought it was the perfect picture to take note of Earth Day 2014!

The picture was probably taken in either Frankfurt or Rothenberg ob der Tauber.

He noted that the picture looked like a “painting with black lines and splatches of different green paints”. I think it does too! It definitely is inspiring me to paint!

Paint – Part 2 of Don Charisma’s Art Prompt was so much fun! Basically we took our quick squiggles drawing from the day before and colored it in.

Don Charisma’s Art Prompt – Part 1

I took notice of Don Charisma’s Art Prompt and just had to take part. The basic instructions are to draw black lines on a white background and “just have fun squiggling.” I love to doodle but I found it was actually a little difficult to free myself and let my inner squiggle come out! 🙂

I will be ready for part 2 tomorrow!
